Disc Golf - PDGA App Reviews

I like this app but..

The app IS working great! I did the update, NOW I can get the show courses near me function to work. Thank you for fixing it!

Terrible!

Course finder never works. Always says "Server did not respond." I wish I could get my money back.

Awesome

Love that after you record the different pars for a course you play it will then save those pars on the scorecard for your next round.

Weak

I searched 4 cities in 4 regions of California and got the same semi-alphabetical list. And my home course wasnt there at all. Weak effort.

Course rating

The app is a great app and I use it all the time but after the last update none of my saved courses or any of the new courses I save will calculate the round rating. This featured worked great before but now it says that the course data saved doesnt match the course data in your database. Also it would be nice to have an option to save a temporary course. This is still a great app though!

Best scorecard app

Love the app! Easy to use, Very! The only thing I see so far that could use an update is Hogback at hippodrome, north augusta, sc. It has 20 holes, not 18. It would also be cool to be able to combine rounds, if I was playing more then one round or two separate courses. Also edit the courses I play on for personal use and last tee choices.

Love it, great score card and pdga scores

Love the App. it finds all my local course, is pretty close to accurate with main and alternate distances, and it will calculate your PDGA score for you. Being able to email the score cards is great, I dont use social media. Entering the scores is very intuitive. Great App!!!!

Great but could benefit from a few new features

Love the app. I use it all the time. However, on most courses it seems that all holes are set at a default of Par 3. When a tee box indicates its actually Par 4 or 5, the app doesnt give you the option to update the course/hole info. So, your score will show you over par even if you shot par according to the course. A birds eye view photo of the course with tee placements would help. Or a message board for each course where players can leave public comments/tips/notes for other players would be helpful, especially for ones first time at a course.

good not great

Like the scoring and player tee off order. No multiple tee (pro/am) allowance. No course data, which seems easy. Some local championship course info not found.

Dgcr at your finger tips

Can change course par its not that hard. Useful app when traveling. Worth the download!

Wont keep my Facebook permission.

Its annoying having to sign in every time or every other time now whenever Im uploading to share on Facebook. It wasnt like that before, what gives?! Need more options, such as doubles, but keep separate names. Keep all scores on cloud, since once its gone or iPhones rebooted, so are all older scores.

Waste of Money

After having used this App for several years I have determined it is a waste of money. Seems whenever I search for courses out of state it cant connect to the server. This last time I contacted support and they said it works if you use the the Zip code. Thought if I used City and State that would work. What a disappointment. Also posting too Facebook is a hassle. Glad I have the Udisc app it works great and does what it is supposed too without problems. Save your money and try the Udisc app.

Great app...

Not a waste of money to me, anything I can do to support the PDGA is great, plus the round ratings helps great! Would also love to access the tournament event schedule, if possible, so I dont have to use it on the website all the time.

Bleh...

Facebook integration has major issues. I have only been able to share the first two rounds I played while using this app. Now whenever I attempt to share a round it fails to do so. Also I shouldnt have to sign in every time I want to share a round on Facebook. Lets get this issue resolved people. Other than that its a semi decent app. Somewhat bleh to me not really impressed with the user interface.

Its pretty good but with a few flaws

User friendly app with a good interface. Most of the courses are on the app and the directions to the course are a handy feature. My only complaint thus far is this: recently I have had trouble going back to look at previous rounds scoring. It is a neat feature when it works allowing you to compare rounds or Bragg about scores. Please fix this.

Worth it

2$? Yes Ill take it, great way to keep track of scores on the year, course search is convenient as well.

Okay

Keeps the score, but how about adding in player averages? Its a pretty simple code to figure all that out.... Thats all thats preventing a 5 star rating.

Crashes

Just purchased for 1.99 and it will not even open. Continues to just crash when opening.

Great scoring app

I like how this app shows your round ratings. I do wish it could calculate our overall rating.

Crashes

Crashes between 3-8 times before I can get it to stay open (I have an iPhone 5). Once its finally open, the app is pretty handy. Not sure its worth $2 though because of the crashing and the not-so-useful maps. Right now, the map will show "courses near me" and thats great. But when I zoom out or scroll to other regions it wont show the courses in that area. I cant type in a city and have it show (on the map) the courses in the area. I travel a lot and when Im going to places Im unfamiliar with, it would be much more useful to be able to use the map to find courses than a listing of towns.
